CHRA Buying Guide
Match CHRAs by turbo frame, wheel geometry and housing compatibility.
A CHRA, turbo cartridge or core assembly replaces the center rotating section while reusing suitable compressor and turbine housings. This is often the fastest repair path when the housings are clean and undamaged but the shaft, wheels, bearings or seal system have failed. The key is not only matching the turbo family; the wheel trims, bearing layout, back plate, seal plate and housing interfaces also need to align.
For B2B sourcing, confirm whether the job needs a complete balanced CHRA, a bare core assembly or a specific upgraded cartridge. Garrett, IHI, BorgWarner, Holset, Mitsubishi and KKK-style applications can share broad model names while using different wheel profiles and housing seats.
