A CHRA, turbo cartridge or core assembly replaces the center rotating section while reusing suitable compressor and turbine housings. This is often the fastest repair path when the housings are clean and undamaged but the shaft, wheels, bearings or seal system have failed. The key is not only matching the turbo family; the wheel trims, bearing layout, back plate, seal plate and housing interfaces also need to align.
